भारतीय जनता पार्टी के राजनेता हैं। वे राज्यसभा सदस्य रह चुके हैं तथा सम्प्रति बिहार के राज्यपाल हैं।
जीवन परिचय
राम नाथ कोविन्द का जन्म उत्तर प्रदेश के
कानपुर जिले की (वर्तमान में कानपुर देहात जिला ) , तहसील डेरापुर के एक छोटे से गांव परौंख में हुआ था। कोविन्द का सम्बन्ध कोरी या कोली जाति से है जो उत्तर प्रदेश में अनुसूचित जाति के अंतर्गत आती है। वकालत की उपाधि लेने के पश्चात दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालय में वकालत प्रारम्भ की। वह १९७७ से १९७९ तक दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट में केंद्र सरकार के वकील रहे। ८ अगस्त २०१५ को बिहार के राज्यपाल के पद पर नियुक्ति हुई।
राजनीति
वर्ष १९९१ में भारतीय जनता पार्टी में सम्मिलित हो गये। वर्ष १९९४ में उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य से राज्य सभा [3] के निर्वाचित हुए। वर्ष २००० में पुनः उत्तरप्रदेश राज्य से राज्य सभा [3] के लिए निर्वाचित हुए। इस प्रकार कोविन्द लगातार १२ वर्ष तक राज्य सभा के सदस्य रहे। वह भारतीय जनता पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता भी रहे।
समाज सेवा
वह भाजपा दलित मोर्चा के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष और अखिल भारतीय कोली समाज अध्यक्ष भी रहे। वर्ष १९८६ में दलित वर्ग के कानूनी सहायता ब्युरो के महामंत्री भी रहे।

Life introduction
Ram Nath Kovind was born in Uttar Pradesh
In Kanpur district (present day Kanpur Deh district), a small village in Tehsil Darrapur was in Parakh. Kovind belongs to the Kori or Koli tribe which falls under the Scheduled Castes in Uttar Pradesh. After getting the degree of advocacy, advocacy started in Delhi High Court. He was a Central Government advocate from the Delhi High Court from 1977 to 1979. On August 8, 2015, the appointment of Governor of Bihar was appointed.
Politics
In the year 1991, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. In the year 1994, the Rajya Sabha [3] was elected from the state of Uttar Pradesh. In the year 2000, again elected to the Rajya Sabha [3] from Uttar Pradesh state. Thus Konvind was a member of the Rajya Sabha for 12 consecutive years. He was also the National Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Social service
He is also the national president of the BJP Dalit Front and the President of All India Koli Samiti. In the year 1986, he also served as the Chief Minister of the Legal Help Bureau of the Dalit class.
